Welcome to Skegness Cable Ski

Experience the thrills of water skiing on one of the UK's top facilities. An ideal way to cool off on those hot summer days but with quality wet suits to keep you warm on those bracing days! All equipment and tuition for beginners provided. Constructed in 1990, the Cable Water Ski is a unique sports attraction embraced by both beginners and experienced skiers. The lake is in the order of 4 feet deep and skiers are towed by a rotating cable capable of speeds between 18 kph up to 60 kph .

An island is located in the centre of the lake providing a natural habitat for wildlife and enhancing safety for users. No chemicals are employed to purify the water - instead the water is purified by natural processes and excessive pond weed is controlled by the presence of Chinese Grass Carp (fish). Because no petrol driven boat is used the facility is  environmentally friendly and causes no pollution. Beginners can generally grasp the principles of water skiing in an hour session, progressing from "kneeboard" to skis and to wakeboarding to mono/slalom skiing for advanced users. just bring a towel!
